Our Mission

What is Day of Service? It is this

Each year we bring hundreds of volunteers together to help give back. The Day of Service began in 2012 as a way for Sammamish Hills Lutheran, to volunteer in the local area. It has grown to be a large interfaith and community event we plan to continue annually as a way to lift up those in need. We promise it will be a day that you will remember. Join us!

1000+
Volunteers

For one day be a part of a movement with hundreds coming together to help the community. You'll leave changed for the better and with new friends.

36 Organizations Served

We work with groups that help in all walks of life from helping those transitioning out of homelessness, our elderly hoping to age in place, our military, and of course the environment.  You name it, we are happy to help.

9 Cities

With so many different locations, we hope you can find one near you! From Sammamish to Seattle, Renton to Bellevue and everywhere in between.

10 Groups

In the past we’ve had 10 different faith based organization and community groups involved. Reach out to your community and help us get even more next year!

Countless Lives Changed

We can't measure this with an exact number but whether you are a volunteer or the recipient of our efforts, this event will have an everlasting impact on your life.

2,300+ Hours

Last year our event had over 2,300 hours of time worked by our amazing volunteers. That's over 3 1/2 months of time in one day!
